Hi Jeff,

Take a look at this blogpost:
http://blogs.technet.com/b/servicemanager/archive/2015/07/30/deploying-secondary-management-server-after-sql-2104-upgrade.aspx

There's really not good/easy way to deploy a new installation of SCSM on SQL
2014. As outlined in the blogpost you have do "trick" SCSM to believe that SQL
2012 is present:

"In order to get over this issue you can install a dummy instance of SQL2012 on
the sql server machine and then install the SM using the command line as given
above.
Once the installation is succeeded you can remove the dummy instance of SQL
2012."
Be sure to read the comment section on the blogpost as well, as there are an
additional suggestion there.

Regards
//Anders

Subject: [servman] Service Manager 2012 R2 and SQL 2014

I am attempting a new installation at a customer and they want to use SQL
Server 2014 to host the Service Manager and Data Warehouse databases. Based on
the information here: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn281933.aspx
SQL 2014 is supported with Update Rollup 6; however, when I attempt to install
Service Manager and specify the database server, it returns an error stating
that SQL 2008 or 2012 is not installed.

Is there any way around this?

Thanks,

Jeff
