I do a very similar thing, but anything related to the bios (updates,
config) is before Pre-prov. Bitlocker

I think that is safer. I'm sure you have reboots after bios stuff, right?

Subject: [mssms] BIOS updating post-imaging?

We're seeing something a little odd. If we enable BitLocker during OSD, we
have issues post-imaging where the computer begins flashing the BIOS after a
couple of restarts. To be clear, we get to the domain login screen just like
it's completely finished. The technician adds a couple users, reboots once
or twice, then the thing starts flashing BIOS. This makes zero sense to me.
The problem here is that once this happens, the computer needs a recovery
key because changes were made to the BIOS.

Our basic steps in the TS go like:

Disable BitLocker

Partition drive

Pre-provision BitLocker

Apply Operating System

Join domain

Inject drivers

Setup Windows and ConfigMgr

Update BIOS

Apply Dell CCTK settings

Restart

Install apps

Add security groups

Install software updates
