By following these steps: 1. Move the OS back to the root "Operating Systems" container. 2. Create upgrade Task Sequence 3. Move the OS back to the original subfolder Since MDT identifies the OS by GUID the TS can still find the OS image when it executes. I did run in to a minor error during upgrade, but I'll start another email thread for that. -Brian From: Klish, Brian Sent: Tuesday, September 22, 2015 12:05 PM To: '[email protected]' <[email protected]> Subject: RE: Can't select OS for upgrade TS I found that if I move the OS to the root of the Operating Systems node then I can select it when I create the TS. It just doesn't like showing me the x64 folder for some reason. Tried moving the x64 folder to the root and back, but that didn't help either. -Brian From: Klish, Brian Sent: Monday, September 21, 2015 8:21 PM To: '[email protected]' <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> Subject: RE: Can't select OS for upgrade TS Interestingly I am able to get it to show up ok in my build deployment share if I try to create an upgrade TS there. I also have a full set of OS source files on that share, but none of the imported OS's are in folders on that share. Not sure if that has anything to do with it. It shouldn't. -Brian From: Klish, Brian Sent: Monday, September 21, 2015 8:09 PM To: '[email protected]' <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> Subject: RE: Can't select OS for upgrade TS Yeah it shows up just fine in the MDT folder view. Do you see the OS in the x64 folder? What does it look like? When I try to create an upgrade task sequence it won't let me select the imported OS. It won't even show me the x64 folder. What am I missing here? If I select the Standard Client Task Sequence it works fine. [cid:[email protected]] -Brian
