Sorry to jump in here... Am also in same situation...

I have ADK 8.0 on my sccm and my custom boot image created on it WIG SCCM 2012 
Sp1..After migration to ADK 8.1 or ADK 10 or Sp2/R2
Will my boot image works?? For my task sequence or is it mandatory to recreate 
the bootImage with my previous customisation?
