The Yes, means the client is installed. If the activity is blank, then the
computer hasn’t fully checked in yet. But, you should absolutely be able to
control it, patch it, deploy apps, etc. One thing I like to do after client
install, is to restart the SMS Agent Host service. Sometimes it jumpstarts
that check-in process.

Subject: [mssms] Interpreting Client state after upgrade

hi,
Just doing a bit of an audit after a SCCM 2007 to 2012 upgrade earlier this
year.
I am assuming from below the following

[Inline image 1]

Device with Computer, Yes, WTO means it has been populated from AD, SCCM has
been able to "browse" it, a client is installed but the client is old, pointed
to a different site or just not working at all
Device with Computer, No, WTO means it has been populated from AD, SCCM has not
been able to discover it on the network
Device with Computer, Yes, WTO, Active means it has been populated from AD,
SCCM has been able to discover it and the client is installed and the client is
active and last reported in at the date shown

Device with Computer, Yes, WTO means I cannot control it, patch it , deliver
packages to it?

Are my assumptions correct? Is there more I am missing? Is their life on Mars?

cheers
