Yeah no that’s not it – I’ve observed it happening a couple of times now with
the Service Desk techs.

They will move away from the Remote Control windows for a brief amount of time
and when they go back to it, the session is locked as the user – basically like
10 – 20 seconds away from the active remote control session.

Just wondering if anyone else had seen the behaviour. Its only starting
occurring since the 2012 R2 SP1 CU1 upgrade. They have the latest Console
installed with the CU1 hotfix msp applied so it’s not related to them using an
older version of the console either.

Cheers
Damon

workstations

Probably a stupid question, but could they just be away from the session long
enough to trigger the screen saver and lock?

Hi everyone,

Has anyone noticed a problem with Configuration Manager Remote Control randomly
locking Windows 7 workstations since upgrading to SCCM 2012 R2 SP1 CU1?

The problem occurs randomly and generally when focus is taken away from the
session – so it’s not occurring when remote control is actively being used –
just when you leave the session window to work on say a server and then go back
to the remote control session – then we are seeing that the workstation is
locked (as the logged on users account).

My client version is 5.00.8239.1203

Damon
