No, UEFI requires the boot image to match the architecture of the machine.

Aside from the surface, can you use the x86 WinPE on devices that have UEFI 
enabled (laptop desktop)? Will the PXE point decide based your architecture?

the boot image architecture must be x64 as it is an x64 UEFI device
if you use an x86 boot wim you'll see this
