Something I have noticed since windows 10 is that rdp sessions to my windows 10 over vpn are less than dependable. I can get connected but after a little bit, it will drop. Most times I can re-connect or it connects on it's own, but sometimes I am unable to re-connect unless I restart the remote desktop service. Sometimes the remote device's remote desktop service even has difficulty stopping. I've seen a an article that sounds familiar but not for win10
