The only "rule" is that the ID must match the filename. Simply do a find/replace in the MP to get all the ID's like you want, then save the file with the same name.

I have been working on the XML files but cannot get them to import if I changes the ID to AAA.Monitoring for example. Is there a way to change the ID of the mgt pack so when it is deployed to the agent I can changes the file name?
