Are these errors thrown from clusters? I am not sure Local System will always work on clusters - however, it should be a consistent success or failure.

All: I'm just curious if others have experienced this issue. We have SCOM agents running under System account. We have granted NTAUTHORITY\System with sysadmin rights within SQL (we already know the security implications). However, even with the System account granted rights, there will be random entries in our SCOM console that the 'Run As Account does not exist on the target system or does not have enough permissions'. I go and confirm System is granted sysadmin at the SQL instance level. It doesn't seem to be unique to a system DB, it's been 'master', 'msdb' and others. I haven't found a common link-different OS versions (2008/R2 and 2012 R2) with different SQL versions (2008 R2 and 2012) throw the error. Searching online tells everyone to ensure the appropriate permissions for the Run As Account, which I have previously confirmed on about 5 of our SQL hosts throwing this error. Environment: SCOM 2012 R2 UR 7 (SQL MP v6.6.0.0 <-Rolled back from 6.6.2.0) but issue predates the upgrade.
