Here's 1 way.  If you only want the ones that deserve the update but don't have
it, then add in to the where clause... and ucs.status=2
select s1.netbios_name0, ucs.ci_id, ucs.status,case when ucs.status=3 then
'installed'when ucs.status=2 then 'required/missing'when ucs.status=0 then
'unknown'else 'something different'end as 'result',ui.title, ui.articleidfrom
v_updateComplianceStatus ucsjoin v_r_system s1 on
s1.resourceid=ucs.resourceidjoin v_updateinfo ui on ui.ci_id=ucs.ci_idwhere
ui.ArticleID='3112343'order by ucs.status

running this sql query to find all machines that have 3112343 SELECT
n.[DNSHostName0],n.IPAddress0,
q.[HotFixID0],q.Description0,q.InstalledOn0         FROM
[CM_SC1].[SCCM_Ext].[vex_GS_QUICK_FIX_ENGINEERING] q,

q.ResourceID=n.ResourceID  and q.HotFixID0 like '%3112343%'  and n.IPAddress0

the patch. Is there a better query in SQL or a report in SCCM 2012 R2?
