Driver bloat :-) That's a lot for 11 different systems, but I suspect the issue is more from importing all the extra garbage that's often packaged with the drivers (and lots of OSes and architectures that you don't need).
If you wanted to spend a few fun days manually cleaning out all the junk, I'm guessing you could easily get it down under 1GB, and with even more work probably under 500GB. (I talked to an organization with over 400 models that had a 2GB driver repository.)
