There was a thread few days back about SCCM 1602 not being able to
install any roles on Windows 2008 R2 boxes come 10/16. Is that why the
in-place upgrade is now being called out in this release?

I'll be honest I followed the thread, but still wasn't sure what
the answer was. Can you install SCCM 1602 roles on Windows 2008 R2?

With this name change every few months, it’s going to make it a nightmare to
find info when searching. I like that I can put in SCCM 2012 and get
stuff back from my searches.
