So I have a SQL 2012 cluster, and this role has all the disk drives
assigned to it (F:, G:, H:).

Turns out, F: needs to actually be assigned to a different role - a
Generic Service that we've installed. The problem is - if I highlight
the SQL role, then highlight the F: drive, and choose "Assign to
another role", it assigns ALL the disks that SQL has to the other
role. And i want only the F: drive assigned to this other role.

So what am I doing wrong? I get the same problem if I try this from
the listing of disks under "Storage", I get the same problem.

Do I need to "Remove from SQL Server"? Does this move the disk to
"Available Storage", and from there I can assign the disk to this
other role?

All my searches seem to find moving Quorum or MS DTC disks, which is
not what I want to do.
