Current: 2012 R2 SP1 CU2 - OS - 2008R2
Desired: 2012R2SP1CU2 - OS - 2012R2

My current plan is to take the site backup, and a manual backup of the SQL
database (Just for grins), move that to a safe location. Shut down the
existing VM, remove from inventory, build new VM, install SQL, roles/features,
pre-reqs. Mount the SCCM iso, and choose Recover site.

However, as I was thinking about this, I don't think that would work. The
latest ISO I have is for 2012 R2. So, would I need to install SCCM, upgrade to
the latest, then do a recovery? Or should I wait, upgrade SQL now, then
upgrade to 1602 when it goes live, then do the in-place OS upgrade?
