Have you got all the standard/latest .Net Frameworks installed either in your Windows 7 image, or in the Task Sequence before point of failure?
I have seen this previously whereby the drivers required to be installed on the win7 machine were written on and for a Windows 8+.. meaning they would crash the TS in this exact manner if the later .NET Frameworks were not installed. Other models look to have no issues, but this one model (straight out of the box) just hangs on that message. Yesterday after 6 hours of being on that screen I gave up. After I shut down the machine, and pxe booted back into WinPE I used cmtrace to get to the smsts.log still on the c drive. I do see that it downloaded the configuration manager client package, and that it completed the action (Setup Windows and ConfigMgr) Then it looks like it reboots and that is all. No errors or anything. Not sure if anyone else has run into this before. Our systems are installing Win7 x64. Before the upgrade, we had no issues with these models. KEVIN JOHNSTON
