We are currently on SCCM 2012 R2 SP1 and are looking to upgrade to 1511.

SCCM 2012 R2 SP1 Clients would install .Net Framework 4.0 (if required) during
the installation of the client but as this framework version is no longer
supported it looks like SCCM 1511 clients now install .Net Framework 4.5.2.

I have six workstations that need to remain on .Net Framework 4.0 due to a
piece of 3rd party software that does not work with .Net Framework 4.5+. The
rest of the workstation estate is already on .Net Framework 4.5.2.

I have 2 questions that maybe someone could answer for me.

1. If we leave these 6 workstations running their current client (SCCM
2012 R2 SP1) against SCCM 1511 will we experience any issues?

2. Should we have to rebuild any of these workstations via OSD and thus
they get the SCCM 1511 client would there be any issues with downgrading the
.Net Framework from 4.5.2 to 4.0? I have tested this process out (Hardware
Inventory, Update Scanning and Software Deployment) and have not encountered
any issues but was wondering if anyone else has been through this.

Thanks
Neil
