A couple of weeks ago we upgraded the OS on our Site Server from 2008 R2 to
2012 R2. We wiped the Site Server and restored it from a backup. Haven't
had any problems. At the same time we also upgraded our Software Update
Point to Server 2012 R2. The Site Server and Software Update Point are on
two different boxes.

When we upgraded the SUP we:

1) Remove SUP role and server from SCCM
2) Installed OS
3) Patched from Microsoft
4) Added WSUS Role using WID, did not run the configuration wizard
5) Patched again
6) Installed KB3095113
7) Installed WSUS console on Site Server
8) Added SUP role to the new WSUS Server

Everything is syncing fine, but the Upgrades category is not show up in the
SCCM console. When you open the WSUS console on the Site Server the
Upgrades category is listed.

Just for good measure we installed KB3095113 on the Site Server and that
hasn't helped.

Today I found this:

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg712312.aspx#BKMK_ConfigureClassesProducts

That says:

"In Step 1, you cleared the list classifications and products. In Step 2,
you initiated software update synchronization to update the list of
classifications and products in Configuration Manager and WSUS. In step 3,
you must select the classifications and products to synchronize."

We tried that and did a manual sync, still not showing. Waiting for a
scheduled sync to run and still nothing.

When we were running 2008 R2 on the Site Server and SUP it was showing up
but we never had it checked.

Categories in the WSUS console on the Site Server:

- Critical Update
- Definition Updates
- Drivers
- Feature Packs
- Security Updates
- Service Packs
- Tools
- Upgrade Rollups
- Updates
- Upgrades

SCCM Software Update Point Component Properties

- Critical Update
- Definition Updates
- Feature Packs
- Security Updates
- Service Packs

- Upgrade Rollups
- Updates

Site Server and SUP - Server 2012 R2
SCCM version - v1511

We're trying to avoid removing the site role and WSUS and re-adding. We're
hoping we missed something obvious.

I can send logs if need be.
