The /package switch is just the verbal equivalent of /i.

What's the full command line you're trying to use, and are you logging the
install?

Subject: [mssms] msi "/package" switch

What the heck is the /package switch for? I've never used that and don't see it
documented anywhere. I'm trying to deploy the websense client via GPO (not
using SCCM for this) and their documentation sucks. I tested installing
manually without the /package switch and it didn't work. I'd really like to get
this into a normal software distribution GPO and not use a batch file as
ForcePoint recommends in their documentation but it looks like that may be
impossible.
