Lyle,

The owner of the bike is Shawn Lawless, he is also the owner of "Orange
Juice". His website is www.paradefloats.com

Shawn has a couple of the side car bikes. The blue in particular has dual
ETEKs but in a unique configuration. He has done a lot of custom machining
and put the two motors together - shaft to shaft with a single output shaft.
I got to take the bike down the track once at the Power of DC. It was a
really fun ride. Shawn did a great job with the bike. It uses a Sevcon
controller with regen and does have the batteries in the sidecar. The regen
on the bike takes a little getting used to.

The bike is a perfect ride for the FL keys or along the beach, heck it's a
great ride anywhere...

See ya,

It's been almost a week and I couldnt wait to do the
next EM Spotlight.

This one was found on Megawattmotorworks.com site
under the photos of the Power of DC 2005 event. The
owner's name is only listed as Shawn. It is a cycle
and sidecar arrangement. It has twin ETEKs mounted on
a shaft drive. The Batts appear to be in the sidecar.
Because of the larger area in the sidecar and the
Twin ETEK design, it has plenty of horsepower as
evident by the photo with it pulling a dragster. I
like this design because it has a classic appeal with
the sidecar and being a rigid and the paint. Since
the batts are hidden, the motor is emphasized.
