Just got done doing a very poor translation of the JC2
article found here:
http://vehiculeselectriques.free.fr/JC2.html
I apologize in advance for any grammar problems and
inconsistancies. Everything that did not translate
well that I had to embellish is in brackets [].

1996 Moto Technologie, translation as follows:

In 1899, engineer Camille Jenatzy proudly presented
his prototype of an autonomous travelling car,
equipped with an electric motor on each wheel, and
which exceeded the premiere mechanical ground speed in
an autonomous propulsion machine for the its time with
a speed of 100 km/hr (62 miles/hr). The car was named
"Jamais Contente" [or Never Content].

Practically a century later, the pilot Bruno Bonhill
whom one finds on an electric machine also intends to
beat a speed record which for him is that of 200 km/h
(124 miles/hr) on a two-wheeled electric propulsion
vehicle.

To arrive at this result, two teams of students from
the Department Genie Mecanique and Productique of
l"I.U.T of Rheims as directed by François Monteil, who
is the owner of the project, and with the assistance
of one of the professors, Denis Zalecki, [have spent]
nearly 2 years [researching], investigating suppliers
and sponsors, ground testing, and [solving] other
logistic and technical concerns.

Resting on a Leroy-Somer [electric] motor with 35 kw
(that is to say approximately 48 horsepower) and 18
m.kg of couple at 3000 rpm (value which culminates has
40 m.kg when the rotor [turns] east blocks [ccw])
cooling is by outward-flow turbine, the JC2 lays out
until 800 amps under 160 volts. This current is
obtained thanks to 126 Saft [batteries] of 1,2 volts
each (for a total weight of 90 kilos ( 198 lbs.)),
normally used to start the turbo-engines of Boeing and
Airbus. The assemblage [that connects all this] is a
500 amp electronic boost regulator [built] by the
American company Curtis, which is none other than one
of the equipments [used] on the Jeep Lunar [module]
taken in the Apollo 11 mission. The booster [is
equipped with 6 silver break-contact contactors
operating in parallel on the regulator, this allows
for the foot control to free up the 800 amps in phase
with acceleration.]

To allow this electromechanical fury (the transmission
is assured on line by high strength aluminum pinions,
and torque without joint competition chains:
Report/ratio: 0,8: 35 X 47) to hold pavement in a
straight line, the JC2 utilizes parts from a Kawasaki
1100 ZZR cycle with a modified aluminum framework,
whose false-frame front tubular steel supports carnage
cuneiforme, and various sprockets for the fixing of
the technical modules and the electric propulsion.
The hull integrates composite materials for an
as-yet-to-be developed blower, and superbly painted by
the Aero-Styl company.

Destiny has to be attacked, during October against the
various records of the world obtained by Max Biaggi
with the handlebar of the Purple Violent One in 1994,
the JC2 has already during a test meeting of
semi-official menee on last 25 June, ameliore the
current record of the world kilometre departure time
at 6,62 seconds (by realisant a time of 28,235
seconds, against 34,86 for the current record), with a
velocity emission of 205 km/h obtained out of 1,2
kilometres of acceleration (speed realized at the time
of the official world record: 164,498 km/h (101.7
miles/hr)). But the JC2 will also attack the 400
meters departure time, the thousand departure time,
and the thousand lance, on a homologous track by the
F.I.M.

Spectacle in prospect...[Wait and see]
