Hey Mike,
Thanks, Yes got that far too.  I was hoping someone had actually done it and gotten past the mounting issues.  Buying polychain pulleys and belt new are also pretty expensive.  You can pick up the used Harley stuff really cheap for some reason.  They all use a standard rear wheel bolt pattern which is nice.  So you can pick up a rear wheel ready to go.  It is really more the motor end I need to find, which may not be too bad.
The Harleys seem to get up to 70 tooth the rear.  For my ap.  I want about a 4.6:1 ratio so that means I would like to find a 15 tooth.  to mount on the motor shaft.
I need find out if one is made and if the belt can deal with that bend radius.

BTW Mike, what kind of range are you getting and what is your motor/ batterys setup?  I'd love to see/ ride your bike.

Garret,
Have you looked at the Gates web site for their poly chain series of belts. A catalog is available for download although you must register and you can find a list of dealers here in Colorado that handle the belts and ostensibly the drive pulleys. I'll send along more when my own research on this is further along.
