I have succesfully communicate with alltrax motor driver, but i have
to do this
with a pic processor similar to the one in the driver. Although i
have tried several
hours, i could not get any answer from motor driver with pic. I wonder the
problem may occur from ttl/cmos levels , and i want to ask you in which
level does the motor driver communicates, ttl or cmos , by this way
i will implement
a max232 ic to my board. If you have any ideas , please share.
Someone smarter than me can clarify but I think you're running into
logic levels. Real RS-232 uses +/- 10 volts but TTL (what the
microcontrollers generally use) is 0 and 5 volts. A max232 should be
a good answer. I was going to go that route myself but found a
premade module for cheap and purchased that instead. I'm lazy.
