"There's been a few designs of people building electric motorcycles in garages, but nothing this elaborate," said Gitter, noting that the bike is licensed, insured, regulated and road-legal like any other motorcycle. "We didn't want a scooter. We wanted a motorcycle. We wanted it to have the power of a motorcycle, but be strictly electric. No gas. No oil."

Apparently, they're never visited our website... Applause goes to you guys.

The frame and most of the parts on the cycle have been taken from a 1999 Buell XI Lightning Chassis. Five lead acid, yellow-top Optima deep cycle batteries - two with six-volt capacity and three with 12-volt capacity - are used to propel the Briggs & Stratton 15-horsepower electric motor, while another fires up the electrical system.

So, 36 volt main and 12 volt aux?
