Yes, I built it. I put a wink in there after "Me too" but I guess the emoticon
didn't show.
Sure, I'll help you with info, *kicks a can* but dang it can't find a buyer
for the bikes I have already built. It has hundreds of hours in it between all
the research and fabrication. Even if I price them below parts cost people
I've talked to are only interested in building them themselves. I guess the em
community is just too dang full of us DIY guys it's almost impossible to sell
something finished. I'd probably take $2200 bottom dollar "as is where is" and
I keep the Scott's steering damper and swap the 72v charger which I need for my
nicad bike for 6 individual chargers, which is better for balancing anyway. It
gets ridden daily.

I think the bike turned out well. The FJ11/12 have those funky anti-dive
forks with hydraulics from the brakes into the forks which is pretty weird but
hasn't given my any problems. I did up the front fork spring rate.
I have mixed feelings on the flooded batteries. They are less expensive and
able to be to kept in balance by some over charge and adding water (equalized)
Although needing water is very rare. They do gas at the end of charge as they
should and this can cause rust to exposed steel. This bike with a big series
motor and 450 amp controller can really pull hard if you want it too, and the
foodies are the weak link then. The trojans are still pretty impressive
dishing out around 400 amps max. Typical 40mph draw is 50 amps, Going 60 mph
ups it to around 130. I have info on evalbum.com so if you specific questions
go ahead and give a shout.

Is that your FJ? Do you have any build details? I want to build an
electric motorcycle and am in the information gathering phase.

As a matter of fact, I have an FJ1200 that I am considering using as my
chassis.

Any information you could point me to would be greatly appreciated.
