Comments..... By making your gear ratio taller you will get a higher top speed, but perhaps lose some range if you have much stop and go.. 100Whrs per mile is too low based on what I have seen from other projects, plan on 2 times that my optima yellow tops are 55aH and 44#s each In a lighter weight vehicle (say 230# dirt bike) a perm or etek is fine with a 6/1 or so ratio. See John Bidwells El Moto project which I have ridden. Very light, strong acceleration, 15 mile range. In a heavy EV cycle plan on an ADC type to dissipate the heat.
