Hello, I actually took El Moto for a test drive in September. First you should know that I have a good deal of off road, flat track and motocross racing experience from my early days. So the bike suited me well. Wow! The light weight (~130#s empty frame) results in incredible EV performance with gearing to about 45 or 50 MPH. I resisted the temptation (people including a nervous John Bidwell were watching my mischievous parking lot antics) to tug on the bars for a wheelie demonstration, but the bike seemed very capable of launching and carrying the front wheel in the air. BTW this all took place in the Nilar Inc. (the NiMH battery folks located in Centennial Colorado) parking lot. The Nilar folks were also kind enough to allow me a cord running out the back door to charge my Ninja EV. My El Moto test ride experience put a huge grin on my face and reminded me that with today's (inexpensive) EV technology we all should focus more on light weight vehicles if we want to end up with thrilling acceleration and moderately useful range.
