Before I got my Evision I was watching current draw with my laptop through the
Alltrax serial port. According to the controller at times it was pulling up to
530 battery amps. I have fixed some brake drag issues and now have my new
meter hooked up. I have yet to see it pull more than 300 battery amps, but I
still have very limited driving on it, mostly at 30 mph or less. I have not
looked at motor amps. I do have a couple of 500 amp shunts lying around so
maybe I'll put one in my motor loop.

For this truck adequate performance for me is equal to or better than what the
stock 4 banger put out which wasn't much. Mild acceleration and the ability to
(barely) get up to 60 mph. At least that is good enough for the next couple of
years :-) I would like to focus on extending the range first (so I can use it
more), then the performance.

I would also like to extend the range on my motorcycle, but I am a fair weather
rider. In the Pacific NW we have lots of not so fair weather days. I would
also like a lighter weight battery pack on the bike. My current pack is 175lbs
split evenly between my legs and over the rear fender.
