Hi everyone,

I will be displaying and giving rides on my brand new
Vectrix electric motorcycle/maxi-scooter (www.vectrix.com)
at the 3rd Annual Space Coast Progressive Fest
(www.spacecoastprogressivealliance.org/issues_entry.php?thisID=76) on
Sunday, July 22, 1-5pm, at the Eau Gallie Civic Center, 1551 Highland Avenue
in Melbourne.

Event organizer David Musgrove, Space Coast Progressive Alliance
Communications Chair, has created an online press room for Vectrix media
materials for local Florida media that will be covering the event, at:
http://scpapress.org/Scooter.htm.

Vectrix commenced full production March 1, is currently producing 500
vehicles a month and will be ramping up to 1,000 vehicles a month over the
next several months. The bike has a (controller limited) top speed of 62
mph and a range of 50 miles per charge at an average cruising speed of 45
mph. Charging time is 2 and a half hours from a standard 120-volt household
outlet. One of the most interesting and innovative features of the bike is
its variable regenerative braking implemented via a bi-directional throttle,
whose effectiveness and power is such that one never really needs to use the
handlebar-mounted traditional front and rear wheel disc brakes.

The Vectrix electric motorcycle/maxi-scooter is available in Florida, for
sale at the three Vespa dealers in Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm
Beach.

Looking forward to seeing you at the Space Coast Progressive Fest on Sunday.

Best regards,

Charles Whalen
