My advice is don't do it.  You will reduce the value of the car as a restored vehicle.

But if you do, the AC motors are more expensive up front, and you will need to go with more voltage than 120 volts.  Usually about 300 volts for AC controllers. If you have about $20,000 to spend on the car talk to Metric Mind.com for the best set up.
