Folks,I have attached my gear ratios for the transmission and the rear axle. I have a 12 x 12 -144 volt DC system. Curtis 500 amp controller and a netgain 9 inch motor.
I use second gear almost exclusively for speeds from 0 to 55. I can cruise at almost any speed on level ground at 80 to 120 amps.
Exceptions are reverse, starting on a hill when a fast start is needed (first gear) and speeds in excess of 55 (third gear) that means 60. High current drain 200 to 300 amps at 60.
Car has just over 800 miles so far. Average trip 17 miles, max trip 41 miles. Local driving with speed limits 30 to 60.
