You can do a search and look up the patents on the website of the US Patent & Trademark Office (www.uspto.gov). Don Francis of the Atlanta EAA chapter looked them up several months ago as part of a private distribution email thread on the subject of trying to get substitute/replacement batteries for Toyota RAV4-EVs. The patents expire on December 31, 2014.
