The Union of Concerned Scientists has launched a campaign to encourage people to send messages to GM so GM will get a better feel as to what their potential customers want. The "take action" allows you to send a scripted message asking for hybrids but you can change the message to whatever you would like. An example might be to ask them to produce a pure electric.
