Hey, you go, you S. FLEAA folks! Sounds good! Hope we can get some good
events going throughout the state of Florida this summer. I should hear by
the end of this week about the time of our PHEv conversion. Then I can begin
coordinating the events in the towns that we will go through. Fun! Fran

Andrew, will you be there at key biscayne sunday? Me and a friend are
staring the miami ev project and would love to talk to you. We are bringing
our first donor car, a souped up VW Golf (ICE) that is ready to see its
greener days.

Subject: [FLEAA] Chelsea in Miami

Hello Everyone,

Friday at the Miami City Hall was a successful event with lots of
enthusiastic people in attendance.
People lined up for a “ride and drive”, and afterwards a showing of “Who
Killed the Electric Car”.
Chelsea was there of course, along with an enthusiastic elected official.
We need more support from everyone, including all levels of government.
I think it usually starts with the voters and the local government and works
its way up from there.

Saturday at the Fairchild Tropical Garden was an elaborate event with
contests for school children, EV displays and rides, and a question and
answer session.
This was a particularly pleasing and enjoyable venue.
There was a video crew there as well, and lots of pictures and video taken
by individuals.

There were a number of members and EV enthusiasts in attendance Friday and
Saturday.
Joseph was there both days and got his picture taken with Chelsea.
Is there anyone who doesn’t know Joseph?
He’s one of the biggest EV enthusiasts; even has a Tesla key fob :-)
Paul Renneisen and David Turock were there as well with David’s wrapped
RAV4-EV and so were Shawn Waggoner and Cliff Rassweiler with his EV race
car.
While many people contributed to the entire event, Charles Whalen took on
the biggest responsibility of organizing the two day event and had his
RAV4-EVs there.
One of our members from the area, Allan Miller had his converted VW there
and helped as well with logistics and a charge for my eBox.
Happiness is a 50 amp outlet :-)

Best Regards,
R. Andrew Roddy
