I am guessing that this means that will be no workshop/meeting in Boca Raton
this Saturday?

Friday, May 9th - Professional Classes & Green Living Awards
In conjunction with Florida Keys Community College, GLEEs offering of
Professional Workshops keeps getting bigger & better! Develop an edge in any
of the following 5 areas to help market yourself in our slowing economy: LEED:
Green and the Bottom Line, Large-Scale Solar Electric for Building Pros,
Small-Scale Solar Electric for Building Pros, Water Conservation for Business,
Govt. & Bldg. Trades, and 7 Key Concepts of Green Building.
The 1st Annual Green Living promotes green efforts already in action in the
Keys, by honoring individuals, businesses and policy makers who have become a
powerful force in nature. The popular vote is still online until 9pm on
Wednesday, May 7th. The final awards will be announced at the Green Living
Awards Ceremony on Friday, May 9th at Tranquility Bay Beach House Resort in
Marathon. Fully sponsored by Singh Properties and Marine Bank, reservations
for the gala are now closed.
Saturday, May 10th EXPO! EXPO! EXPO! FREE! FREE! FREE!
From 9am to 5pm at the beautiful, brand new Marathon High School, GLEE will
be showcasing the latest and greatest green information from green building,
solar panels, cisterns, biodiesel, clean boating, etc. With over 90
exhibitors, 35 workshops, organic farmers market, kids activities, silent
auction and 45 alternative transportation vehicles and vessels, it will be a
full day to take in everything that GLEE Expo Saturday has to offer.
· FREE Shuttle from Key West and lower Keys straight to the High
School!
· To see the line up of exhibitors and workshops, pick up a Keys
Sunday.
· To sail on through the registration line, you can clip out an Expo
FASTPASS from Keys Sunday or pick one up at any Marine Bank branch.
Sunday, May 11th Love Your Mother Sunday
If GLEE filled your head with ideas on Saturday, use Sunday to get outside
and see many of those ideas in action. With options for everyone, Sunday
highlights on-the-ground local efforts by individuals and businesses.
Definitely something you can take your Mother to:
· Home & Garden Tours: In order to help demonstrate how green life is
not really all that alternative, homeowners and businesses throughout the Keys
are opening their doors to let the public see for themselves. From Key West to
Key Largo you can pick the features that most interest you. Solar panels,
solar water heaters, composting toilets, alternative building materials,
cisterns, low flow toilets, native landscaping and efficiency renovations.
· Land & Water EcoTours: Do something different and memorable for
Mothers Day! Eleven land and water ecotour operators have joined forces with
GLEE to help you re-connect with what you came to the Keys for in the first
place.
· Love Your Mother Networking Brunch: In honor of Mothers Day, GLEE is
holding a special Love Your Mother Earth Networking Brunch at the Key Colony
Inn Restaurant to give presenters and exhibitors a chance to network with Keys
green leaders. This event is being sponsored in part by Biodiesel of South
Florida, LLC and is by invitation only.
