Thanks, Frank, for the suggestions about showcasing the ability of the EVs in
relation to using that power in other ways, too. But I would need some very
much more experienced folks than I to set that up. Since we cannot probably
move that inverter around in our Prius (how much does it weigh?) we would need
to have someone volunteer to do that.
Keep those ideas flowing, please, members! Thanks. Fran, EVI
The lastest that I'm working on is a documentary on the trip. But I will need
to find some kind of funding for that. We shall see!

Be certain to use an inverter from a 12V battery in a car so that you can tie
in the music amplification to the car.

Also be aware that cheap inverters often use opposite phase 55V on the
"neutral" and hot sides. This can cause shock hazards if the musician is also
using a utility feed.

There should be a renewable dealer nearby who would loan you a 1500 watt
inverter for the sponsorship credit.

I know that I have been saying that our itinerary for the Electric Vehicle
Initiative is upcoming. I have been working to make sure that our plug-in
conversion will truely be ready at the correct time. By tonight we should have
that assurance.
But, basically, if you live in the state of Florida we will be in your area
some time between early July & mid August.
I have learned something from being in promotions that have no ancillary
draws. If you are promoting something and you are not at a big
greening-the-environment fair or a similar function, then you need a
significant attention getter. Maybe you have been allowed to set up in a park
or a large parking lot. Music is the biggie that can draw folks like magic.
Do you know of any musical bands, however small, who would be willing to play
for a wonderful, environmental cause called the Electric Vehicle Initiative? If
you help us make the Initiative famous, then your band can say on their resume
that they played for the famed EVI of 2008. ;-)
We are also looking for artists who have put out really great "green" music
that we can run in the background when we don't have a band available.
If you have any leads you can email me for now at [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Soon I will be asking you to blog us at our very own FLEAA's website! Thanks,
  Fran, Ron & Joy
  The Electric Vehicle Initiative
