Hi all,

Just a quick update. Final EV count for this event is three:

1) Paul Renneisen with his Toyota RAV4-EV

2) Andrew Roddy with his AC Propulsion eBox

3) myself, Charles Whalen, with my Toyota RAV4-EV

So this is what we're going to go with and is the final list I'll give to
radio show host Nicole Sandler for the movie showing in Miramar on July 18,
early evening. I think Andrew will also be doing some on-air interviews
with Nicole on her radio show over the next week to promote both the event
and the Florida EAA.

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for being able to make it to the movie event! Basically, it looks
like it's just going to be you and me as the only ones with EVs there. Paul
Renneisen has got an event in Orlando that evening and looks like he won't
be able to make it. All the other EV drivers in South Florida appear to be
either out of town, already committed, or otherwise unavailable. So I am
going to let Nicole Sandler know tomorrow that it will just be you and me
with your AC Propulsion eBox and my Toyota RAV4-EV. I believe the movie
showing will be at the Love94 WLVE FM / Newsradio610 WIOD / 940WINZ AM radio
station studios in Miramar, but I have to check Nicole on that tomorrow.
Also, the station's promotion director said "early evening", but I'd like to
nail down an actual time. So I'll work on all that tomorrow.

By the way, Nicole Sandler wrote me an email late this evening in which she
asked if one of us would like to talk about the event on air, on her radio
show. As you are the Florida EAA's Public Relations Director, I'd like to
defer to you on that, if you're interested and willing to do so. Just let
me know, and if you are, then I can pass all of this stuff on to you in
tomorrow's correspondence.

Best regards,

Charles Whalen

Hi everyone,

Air America Radio 940 AM South Florida morning host Nicole Sandler has been
discussing and promoting the movie "Who Killed the Electric Car?" on her
popular morning radio show a few times over the last several weeks and
saying that there should be more screenings here in South Florida. I
believe that she also interviewed Florida EAA member, Toyota RAV4-EV driver,
and US Congressional candidate Paul Renneisen on her show a couple weeks
ago.

Well, Nicole is backing up her words and making good on her interest in
seeing more screenings of the movie in South Florida by arranging/hosting a
showing herself on Friday, July 18 in the early evening. I believe the
venue will be the Miramar studios of Love94 WLVE FM / Newsradio610 WIOD /
940WINZ AM, but I have to confirm that with Nicole and the station's
Promotion Director, Kevin Cerenzia, who will be promoting this showing of
the film, as will Nicole on her morning radio show. Given the (free!) wide
publicity and promotion on Love94 WLVE FM / Newsradio610 WIOD / 940WINZ AM,
there should be a good turnout for this film showing as well as good media
coverage.

The station's Promotion Director, Kevin Cerenzia, has asked me to pass this
information along to our members and to try to get as many electric cars to
come out to this showing of the film as possible. I will definitely be able
to make it with one of my RAV4-EVs and am committed to going. I'd like to
know who else can come and bring their electric cars. Could you please let
me know?

In particular, are any of the following of you available (I hope I'm not
forgetting anyone):

1) Allan Miller, electric VW Cabriolet?

2) Does anyone know if Cliff Rassweiler (ProEV's electric Imp) is still in
Miami, or has he left for Vermont for the summer?

3) Lowell Simmons (right there in Miramar), Miramar High's electric Porsche
    944 and electric Ford Probe?

4) Paul Renneisen, Toyota RAV4-EV?

5) Andrew Roddy, AC Propulsion eBox?

6) Shawn Waggoner and/or Jeff Patterson, Patterson Cycles electric
    motorcycle(s)?

7) Bob Fuerstenau, electric Toyota pickup truck (although I'm guessing this
might be a bit beyond your range)?

Everyone is welcome! The more EVs we can get out to movie, the better!

Thanks & best regards,

Charles Whalen
