It's more than just interesting times, it is exciting times, especially when you have over 30 people show up and a year ago I can remember less than 10. It is very nice of Bob to host the meeting at Coastal tire, but his lobby can't handle all those people. Now I know what sardines feel like. The body heat was worse than the sun that usually cooks my neck through the door window. I like what you did Andrew, brought your own seat. It might be a good idea if everyone can bring their own fold up seat like you did so that not so many people are having to stand, because Bob doesn't have enough chairs and should not have to provide an auditorium. If that many people show, we could sit under the tree or in the car bay? I agree Andrew this is the beginning of a revolution, or maybe I should use the word evolution. It sort of reminds me of 63 million years ago. ----- Original Message ----- From: Andrew<mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: 'FLEAA Mailing List'<mailto:[email protected]> Sent: Monday, July 14, 2008 8:27 AM Subject: [FLEAA] Saturday's FLEAA Meeting
Hello Everyone, Saturday's meeting was well attended with over 30 people present. Lowell Simmons had a great deal to say about conversions; lots of interesting details. Lowell drove one of his team's conversions to the meeting, a nicely detailed Porsche. Fellow member Bob Fuerstenau has graciously opened his Coastal Tire shop in Boca Raton to accommodate our monthly meetings, but if attendance continues to increase, we may quickly outgrow his space. It's still a good place for working on and demonstrating EVs. I believe we are at the beginning of a revolution in transportation. These are interesting times we live in. I'm looking forward to next month's meeting. R.
