the battery pack was held on with 4 bolts. it was at least 1800 pounds. the connectors were a quick connect type with one on each side that popped off with little effort. I could imagine it being a type of quick change pack. The fact the chargers were not onboard could lend some idea that maybe they were thinking quick change as in when the battery runs out you put a charged pack in. but then on the other hand the watering system which was rubber hoses routed to all batteries could tend to think the pack was designed to stay in and get recharged. The battery pack was nicely built by a UK company. The large motor was built by Nelco in farnham surry, uk and the plate said 170 volts. The vans were full size GMC passenger/cargo vans.
