Jeremiah,

I corresponded several months ago with an electrical engineer, Ken Elder, in
St. Petersburg who is building an electric motorcycle. I don't think it's a
racing bike that he's building, but you might want to try Ken anyway for his
expertise on the EV side, as you said you're looking for, especially since
he's local to you there in the Tampa Bay area. His email address is:

A bit further afield, across the state on the east coast, in the West Palm
Beach area specifically, both Jeff Patterson in Jupiter
([EMAIL PROTECTED]) and Florida EAA President Shawn Waggoner
([EMAIL PROTECTED]) in Lake Worth have 5-10 years experience in building
electric motorcycles.

As for specific expertise in building electric racing motorcycles, the two
best in the world are:

1) NEDRA (www.nedra.com) President Shawn Lawless ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) from
Youngstown, Ohio, who is a good friend of the Florida EAA, comes to our
annual Battery Beach Burnout (www.batterybeach.com) EV racing event in late
January, is a frequent visitor to Florida, especially to the Keys, and has
many friends all over Florida. Shawn holds numerous electric motorcycle
drag racing world records.

2) Bill Dube ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) from Denver, Colorado, has the fastest
electric motorcycle in the world, KillaCycle (www.killacycle.com), which
does something like 0-60 in .9 seconds and the quarter in 7.8 seconds and
160 mph. (I've lost track and don't follow the racing scene very closely.)
Bill and his team are also good friends of the Florida EAA. Bill came down
here and was the keynote speaker for our Battery Beach Burnout event in
January 2007 and was just down here again a few months ago, in fact right
there in Tampa, where he was attending the Advanced Automotive Battery
Conference.

Florida EAA President Shawn Waggoner in particular has close relationships
with both Shawn Lawless and Bill Dube & team.

Good luck with your project!

project?

Sorry, I forgot that they added our email list to the whole florida thing,
and that there were people on this list that didn't know me. Let me give a
little more details to get rid of some confusion. I am a professional
motorcycle racer and I have been working towards building an EV motorcycle
that will compete in high performance with my ICE bike. So this will be a
race motorcycle, not a race car. I have one of my professional race bikes
that is in need of a motor, so I am going to build that one. It already has
top of the line Ohlins suspension components. I have a sponsor that is
financially helping me to make the build, I am looking for some people that
might have some more expertise in the EV portion of it that might be
interested in being part of this.
Once again, thank you for your time.
