Echoing Green sparks social change by identifying, funding, and supporting
some of the world's most extraordinary emerging social entrepreneurs and the
organizations they launch. Each year, Echoing Green awards 20 two-year
fellowships to help social entrepreneurs launch new organizations that
deliver bold, high-impact solutions. Fellows receive up to $90,000 in seed
funding and technical support to turn their innovative ideas into
sustainable organizations. Individuals at least 18 years of age, or
partnerships (organizations led by two people), are eligible to apply. The
application deadline is December 1, 2008. Visit the Echoing Green website to
review the Applicant Coaching Guide and submit an online application.

Hi Everyone:
Just a last minute reminder of the upcoming meeting of the Suncoast
Electric
Vehicle Association (SunEVA).
The meeting will be held on Saturday, October 4, starting at 10 a.m. at
Black Bay Technologies, 712-B Wesley Ave., Tarpon Springs 34689.
The club is currently converting a 1999 VW Jetta to electric drive. At
last
month's meeting, all ICE components were removed. At this month's
meeting,
work will begin on the battery racks and plans will be made for the
conversion, including specification of parts, location of batteries, etc.
At next month's meeting, the motor and adapters will be installed.
This is a great opportunity to participate in a fun and educational
project!
All are welcome to attend. Club meetings are free and open to the public.
