Folks,

I have converted my Ford Ranger to electric because there isn't a car like the RAV4-EV available for me to purchase. For me the RAV4-EV is the standard.

That is why I thought it was interesting, that after all these years, Road and Track Magazine, in their March 2009 issue decided to include the RAV4-EV in their road test of battery electric vehicles titled "Electric Elecctrics", page 76.

Not only is it included, it is presented first. Of course their are the medias obligatory, negative, remarks about coal fired powered plants. But, here it is, after ten years, testing cars with ten year old battery packs, making an honorable benchmark.

What a remarkable car!

Sorry, there is no link for the article. But there is a link where you can have online access for 99 cents. A worthwhile investment to see this car receive such notice, so late in its life cycle.

Of course there are others presented also, such as the E-Box, Tesla and BMWs Mini, but this is to be expected of worthy and notable recent entries.

Cheers,
Al Lococo
