This 13th annual event generates large turnout, thousands of attendees, and we would like give our audience the opportunity to see alternative vehicles and green transportation solutions this year. Thanks ! Sarasota County Parks and Recreation is having a green vehicle event at Phillippi Estate Park on Saturday, May 16. Information is below. We are also displaying alternative energy cars and trucks free of charge. This is the 13th Big Truck Day event, but this is the first time we are showcasing green vehicles. Please pass this information on to anyone who might be interested in attending or displaying vehicles at the event. I'm attaching a copy of the vehicle confirmation form as well. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Big Truck Day - Green Machines Saturday, May 16 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Phillippi Estate Park, 5500 S. Tamiami Trl., Sarasota High octane fun for the entire family! Join us for Sarasota County Parks and Recreation's 13th annual Big Truck Day at Phillippi Estate Park! All of the old favorites will be on display including a Menzi-muck, fire truck, sheriff's bat mobile, dump trucks and more. Trucks are also going green this year with hybrid, electric and biodiesel vehicles and displays. Children are invited to climb on the vehicles, honk the horns and pull the levers. There will be a remote controlled truck demonstration, hay ride, kids' crafts and mini solar car race. Food and beverage vendors will be available. This event is free and open to the public.
