I've recently moved to Florida (the Sarasota/Bradenton area). In 1996, I did a conversion on a 1972 VW Beetle. It's still running fine. I've replaced the batteries twice since 1996. I used an 8" Advanced DC Motors motor with ten Trojan 5SHP (now J150) 12V batteries. I've attached a copy of my 1996 Earth Day exhibit brochure.
I'm wondering if there is a FLEAA branch here, or if there are other people nearby who have done or are doing conversions. Jim Love
