This is a pretty good overview which includes a demo of branching if relevant...

I've tried setting a the "Source" parameter in the URL to initiate the survey, but this doesn't carry on through the life of the survey (it's gone from the very next page). And another limitation is that the URL you can specify for this Source parameter is limited to pages within the same server. I've seen a workaround on Ishai's blog for this ( http://www.sharepoint-tips.com/2007/06/solving-infopath-error-following.html), but was hoping there was a quick and easy code-free solution for now. I also realise that there's probably a way to write a Feature that listens for completed Surveys being added and then redirects the user, but again I was hoping for a code-free approach for now. 2) Is there anyway to make the user experience a bit more dynamic with regards to branching questions? The survey currently progresses to the next question on a Postback - obviously there's some server side logic processing the answer to the question and determining which question to serve up next. I've been asked if we can automagically show the next question, on the fly, on the same page based on user interactions with the current page. For example, some kind of hidden HTML section that is shown via JavaScript when the user answers a parent question. I think this second part is beyond the capabilities of the 'out of the box' survey feature, but would be happy to be proven wrong :-) Regards, Craig. ------------------------------------------------------------------- OzMOSS.com - to unsubscribe from this list, send a message back to the list with 'unsubscribe' as the subject.
