Hi Guys,
I was just wondering if anyone is playing with Microsoft's new Search Server 2008 Express Beta. IMHO, this is the best search engine that Microsoft has ever put out, and it's what Index Server should have been. I'm using it as my desktop search, purely because it doesn't eat the CPU like windows search does. There are several issues with it at the moment, though they are mainly around the setup process. Oh, and while it is a customised sharepoint instance, it's can't be part of a farm (at the moment). Is anyone else developing on this product? Cheers, Matt. PS. The WSS install I had to fix this morning is running like a charm. Thanks for all of your input..
