Hi,

Here's a nice script that makes a full backup of a MOSS 2007 or WSSv3
Server, removes backups older than seven days, sends an email when a
backup is complete along with status of backup and writes to event log
the status of backup

Hi Mike,

I haven't myself but maybe you could use a powershell cmdlet to do it
for you?

Just a thought.

Cheers,

Aaron

Subject: [OzMOSS] Overwriting spbr### backup folder

Hi all:

I have created a batch file to run the backup command line on a
scheduled task daily.

@ECHO OFF

CD C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server
extensions\12\BIN

stsadm -o backup -url http://securiantechnology/ -filename spbackup.bak
-overwrite -directory \\mmsibt07\backup\sharepoint -backupmethod full

However I cannot get it to remove the old backup spbr#### folder. Has
anyone successfully solved this problem?

Thank you,

Mike MacDonald
