Yep will do basically looking for anyway to encrypt parameters between
web parts. Only thing I've been able to find so far.

If you're looking to use this for generating obscure URLs via tokens,
just be careful not to generate % characters in your tokens. I've seen
this very thing done when utilising the .NET cryptography libraries for
token generation with the expected hilarious results.

Craig.

Ummm interesting been looking at doing something like this
myself but need to hide the parameters more as I'm pulling from an SQL
db and have things like clientid and matterno so need to hide from the
user so he can't change these properties.

Any ideas looked at the link not really much help.

Subject: [OzMOSS] Obfuscated URLs and SharePoint

        Hi All,

Just wanting some advice on the best approach to providing
obfuscated URLs to access an underlying document (or perhaps even
document library) under SharePoint. We would like to access a document
with a URL something like:

http://externalsharepointserver/displaydocument?id=asdgkasjkg;jas;gljkl;
asjghklasljglkasjgjeuwqtujasgbjasdkl;gjal;ksjghkjaskl;gjl;as

You know the sort of URL, where the underlying structure of
SharePoint document library is not displayed to the end user at all. Any
suggestions greatly appreciated.

        Cheers,

        Trevor Andrew
