Hi Guys,

I've been on client site and have built a new server, but I'm unable to
connect Sharepoint Designer to it. I keep getting an error saying that
the site is protected by a password. I'm trying to connect on the server
that is actually hosting MOSS, using the domain admin account which can
connect to the MOSS site without any problems. I've lowered the IE
security settings to Low but still can't connect using Designer. I've
tried using Fiddler to debug this but it's useless due to the proxy
settings in the network. Does anyone have any idea why Designer won't
connect ? or how I go about debugging this in a locked down environment.

The only thing I can think that may have caused it as we originally had
this site using Kerberos security, but modified it use NTLM. It doesn't
appear to be affecting any other Authentication on the site so not sure
if this still affecting some part of the site that Designer hooks in to.

Cheers

Chris
