Has anyone come across difficulties setting master pages for sites based on the Meeting site templates?
The project I am on is using WSS 3.0. I have created several features as follows: - one that creates a custom master page - one that allows users to change the master page for the site - one that staples the above features to team and meeting site templates. This worked a treat for sites based on team site templates, but not for meeting sites. I then noticed that meeting sites seem to use a different default master page called mwsdefault.master. OK, so I created a new master page using a copy of mwsdefault.master with some different images and put it in it's own feature that I have stapled to the meeting site templates. The problem is that when I change the master page on a meeting site to this new one nothing happens. It isn't using my new master page and no errors seem to be thrown. Any ideas??? Do I need to write different code to set the master page for a meeting site? I have been using: web.MasterUrl = masterPageName; web.Update(); masterPageName is the url for the new meeting master page that I created.
